It is indeed the God of all the losses for the Indian cricket team that was revered by the masses of this nation, a billion of them. Let us not forget that they are Us, the Indians, the mad cricketers and probably the near best available among the billion. We could not have formed a better team than this and we must concede that the best among us performed poorly. As our captain Dravid observed "It is the players themselves who are pained and saddened at their loss than any body else. Just think about how much players stand to gain by winning the cup than exiting in the first round itself. So they are not fools to play as badly as they did and the fact is that we had two bad days in quick succession and that is it. So why do we lost and who is responsible for it?.
We all heard of the Butterfly effect: The flapping of a butterfly’s wing in Brazil can set off a tornado in Texas.
Long way back when our Indian maharajas played cricket with white Sahibs, the maharajas who could not run and bowl the ball at speeds comparable with their white counterparts prefered to do the slow arm bowling - the spin. The tradition continued and all the cricket associations bred cricketers of slow motion - those who bowl magnifivent slow balls and those magnificent batters of slow balls . Little we have realised that all along our need has been a "magnificent speedy gonzales" of fast bowlers, fast pitches, and fast and aggressive batters. The main thing is the fast pitches and if we have them on every ground then we could easily produce quality cricketers in abundance.
That is what comes to my mind when I think of all these years of lethargic functioning of our cricket board. The board has all the money in the world and why dont they do it. Honestly speaking we have to appreciate our cricketers for being world class irrespective of all these fundamental flaws and substandard pitches.
It is very important that we celebrate our cricketers when they win matches and it is further more important to embrace and console them when they lose badly.
After all they are not the real resons for the debacle and the culprit is the "BUTTERFLY EFFECT"
